Rob was looking at purchasing a tent to add to his rooftop, but then realized the tent would not hold up due to strong winds in Pennsylvania. He then stumbled upon two companies: Pergola Roof and Struxure. After speaking with the representatives at Pergola Roof, he realized that the quality of the product was exceptionally superior. He mentions that the thickness of the metal, the way the louvers function, the overall strength of the system, and the option of adding sliding glass panels made it obvious that Pergola Roof was his best choice. 

Design Stage

After speaking with his engineers and the team at Pergola Roof, they both determined that the Louvered Roof Pergola with sliding glass panels would be the best fit for what he was looking for. With the system that he chose, he essentially created a fully functional fourth floor for his restaurant and building.

His pergola was installed in October, so he wasn't able to open up the louvers or open up the sliding glass panels due to the cold, but he states that it didn't really make a difference. He loved the idea of having people on top of the roof during the cold weather, which made his restaurant an attraction to the public.

Rob is extremely excited and in love with the idea of having a twelve month facility that he can now utilize. He mentioned that New Year's Eve is coming up, and he is delighted about having a big party on the rooftop without having to worry about whether or not the weather is going to cooperate. He is happy with choosing Pergola Roof, because he now has this beautiful space with spectacular views of the Susquehanna River in downtown Pittston.
