Mr. Pierson also wanted the flexibility of opening and closing the roof when he desired. They were excited to find Pergola Roof’s Motorized Retractable Pergola which met all their needs and more.  --- > *“Everybody that comes over loves it!”* > > #### — Katharina P. --- One of Mr. Pierson's favorite features are the screens. He mentions how he loves all the different color options and transparency options. He added some screens that are more transparent facing the pool and some more solid screens that will help block out the wind and retain the heat from their fire table. Another feature he particularly enjoys are the lights that are adjustable.  ![short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200 (2)](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200%20(2).jpg) Save ![short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200 (1)](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200%20(1).jpg) Save ![short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200 (3)](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1200%20(3).jpg) Save Mrs. Pierson appreciates the benefit of having an extra outdoor room where she can host family and friends all while being outside. She also mentions that she loves the dimmable LED lights that she favors on nights when they are having dinner outside.  ![short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1920](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/short-hills-pergola-screen-shade-lights-1920.jpg) Save Before installing the Pergola, Mrs. Pierson was worried that the Pergola would over take all of their backyard. After the installation, she was surprised to see how well the Pergola brought their backyard together and accentuated the look and space of their backyard. She admires how slender yet sturdy the pillars are on the Pergola, making their backyard completely visible when sitting inside the Pergola. --- ## Features ![All seasons](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Seasons.png) Save All seasons ![Dimmable LED lights](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Light+Bulb.png) Save Dimmable LED lights ![Blackout or translucent](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Sun+Shield.png) Save Blackout or translucent ![Remote controlled](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Remote+Control.png) Save Remote controlled ![Watertight](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Water+Drop+Shield.png) Save Watertight ![Resists bad weather](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Cloud.png) Save Resists bad weather --- Mr. and Mrs. Pierson are so happy with their Pergola that they are contemplating adding one to their summer home in the Shores.
