Sheenoo’s family had recently moved into their new home and loved their vast outdoor space. However, with the leaves everywhere and varying temperatures throughout the seasons, Sheenoo was not able to completely utilize their outdoor space. They started researching various options for an outdoor enclosure. She was looking for an enclosure with a motorized feature, which would seamlessly let the space transform from an indoor space to an outdoor space with the click of a button.

To Sheenoo, the most important factor in her search was to retain the integrity and beauty of her backyard. The glass sliding doors allow her family to enjoy the weather, as their daughter says “You’re inside, but it feels like you’re outside.” The sliding glass doors provide complete insulation to preserve the indoor heating or cooling conditions, but when they are open, Sheeno’s husband remarked that “It actually makes the outdoors flow into the indoors and then back out again”
A key highlight of Sheeno’s search process was receiving detailed 3D renderings from Pergola Roof’s team to help her visualize exactly what the product would look like in her backyard, which was ultimately what helped her to make her decision.
Sheeno’s husband expressed that he was nervous about how long an installation process would take for a project like this, among other things. He was impressed by how professional and non-invasive the whole process was. In his words, the customer service for installation and any maintenance has been “top-notch. I could not ask for more”.
Sheenoo’s son enjoys the customizability of the pergola so that he can have control over shading the space if it is too bright outside, or opening up the motorized shades to let the sun in.
