They were looking for a covered patio that was usable during all four seasons of the year. All of their very specific needs were met by Pergola Roof's Louvered pergola and motorized shades. --- > *“Many people want an outdoor pergola so this can be used as an open pergola. When you close it, it’s an enclosed covered patio, when you enclose the shades it’s a closed room”* > > #### — MRS. MATHEW --- ### Design Stage ![Mathews struggles](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Mathews%20struggles.jpg) Save One of Mrs. Mathews struggles with her search for the perfect product was her preference towards keeping the integrity of her outdoor space and not compromising it with a permanent enclosure. Now she finds the space is enhanced by the pergola and utilized far beyond its previous capabilities. A favorable aspect she prized was our highly requested motorized screens. These perform as a retractable remote controlled privacy blinds, as well as providing protection against the elements. These shades move independently of each other, which offers either a completely open or entirely enclosed pergola, depending on aesthetic preference. ![Newhydepark ny pergola screen](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Newhydepark-ny-pergola-screen-shade-1920-4.jpg) Save ![Newhydepark ny pergola screen](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Newhydepark-ny-pergola-screen-shade-1920-2.jpg) Save ![Before-and-After+Product+Shots-5](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Before-and-After+Product+Shots-5.jpg) Save Another admirable element that Mrs. Mathew noticed from our systems is their ability to be controlled by any Apple device. This includes remote accessibility for the retractable roof, screens, and fans. The functionality of this feature is what motivated her to conclusively choose our system. --- ## Features ![All seasons](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Seasons.png) Save All seasons ![Dimmable LED lights](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Light+Bulb.png) Save Dimmable LED lights ![Blackout or translucent](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Sun+Shield.png) Save Blackout or translucent ![Remote controlled](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Remote+Control.png) Save Remote controlled ![Watertight](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Water+Drop+Shield.png) Save Watertight ![Resists bad weather](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Cloud.png) Save Resists bad weather --- ![Newhydepark ny pergola](https://pergolaroof.com/hubfs/Pergolaroof_Aug20222/Images/Newhydepark-ny-pergola-screen-shade-1920.jpg) Save This outdoor enclosure isn’t just a simple awning, this system has provided Mr. & Mrs. Mathew with an exciting new living space as well.
